Chelsea have received a much-needed injury boost with Callum Hudson-Odoi returning to first-team training following his recovery from an Achilles problem. Jamie Carragher sends Arsenal warning to Liverpool boss Nicolas Pepe reveals reason behind Arsenal move The England international picked up the injury during the month of April and he thereafter went through a surgery which has ruled him out of action to date. However, it appears that he is on course to make a comeback by the middle of September after joining his teammates in regular training for the first time this season. Hudson-Odoi has less than 12 months remaining on his existing deal with the Blues and so far, he has shown no indication whether he would be willing to extend his stay. Blues boss Frank Lampard has remained positive when asked about the potential contract renewal but Hudson- Odoi may wait for a couple of months to assess whether he can command a regular role under the new manager. Chelsea have managed to secure the single point after the opening two league games of the season. They are scheduled to face Norwich City on the road this weekend.

Gary Neville has claimed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still has four or five players in his Manchester United squad who don't want to be at the club. After a disappointing end to the 2018/19 campaign, Manchester United fans were promised a squad overhaul by the Norwegian, though it didn't really come to fruition during the summer transfer window. Following the Red Devils' draw with Wolves on Monday Night Football, pundit and former United right back Neville told Sky Sports that the club still need to sell a number of players - some of whom the club are actively trying to get rid of. Starting with Alexis Sanchez, who is on the verge of joining Inter, he said: "I welcomed him coming to the club as he's a tenacious forward that plays across the line and scores goals. "But it's been a disaster. I have no idea what's happened. There must be two of him. The one that played for Arsenal and Barcelona and then the one that's turned up in Manchester. They need to get him out of the club. "Romelu Lukaku didn't want to be there. It's a phased transition at the club. There's four or five that don't want to be there - he needs to get rid of a couple this year and a couple next year." Despite what was promised after the woeful loss to already relegated Cardiff City on the closing day of the last Premier League season, only four players have departed Old Trafford - three of which were due their contracts expiring. Another of those players the club are still reportedly looking to sell is central defender Marcos Rojo. The Red Devils are looking to find a club for the Argentinian, as they look to save on his wages with him now surplus to requirements following Harry Maguire's record signing. Other potential departures include the controversial Paul Pogba , whose future still hangs in the balance after he suggested he wanted to leave the club before the European transfer window closes on 2nd September, while the likes of Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Fred have all found their playing time extremely limited this season. As much as Solskjaer won't want to lose one of his key men while he's unable to recruit a replacement due to the British window being closed, the Red Devils have been forced to drop their asking price from £182m to £146m as Real Madrid continue their pursuit of the Frenchman.

Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic has laughed off rumours linking him with a premature loan move away from the club, declaring Zinedine Zidane 'believes' in him. Jovic joined Los Blancos from Eintracht Frankfurt this summer in a deal worth around €65m, but various reports have claimed that Zidane was not happy with his performances in pre-season and training, and thus wanted to send him out on loan for the 2019/20 season. In recent days, Jovic has been linked with a move to AC Milan, with Gazzetta dello Sport claiming the Italians have identified him as a top target going into the final days of the window, which, for Italy, shuts on August 23. However, speaking to Serbian publication Novosti, as quoted by Marca, the striker declared: "Stories like that [of me moving on loan] make me laugh, as the media will always engage in such stories. "I have been used to all kinds of rumours since the beginning of my professional career. I have accepted the fact that they can always be there, and time will tell which ones are true. [Zidane] believes in me and his opinion hasn't changed during the time that we've been working together. "I am learning from him day by day and I am very satisfied because he is, as a player and coach, one of the best in world football." As for his goals at Madrid, Jovic declared: "I am ready to do my best and offer everything I can. I don't expect to play immediately, but I will reach my targets through hard work and dedication. "Real Madrid's ambition is always [to win] the titles and the time is approaching when we will show our real strength and what we can do." He replied: "[Benzema] is a very interesting forward, he has much more experience than me and I try to learn from him. "One of the best things about football is when you can play next to adults when you are young and learn from them. All the players have received me very well and I get along with everyone. We often laugh in the locker room."

Chelsea defender Davide Zappacosta has arrived at Roma to undergo a medical ahead of sealing a season-long loan to the Serie A side. First-team opportunities have been hard to come by for the Italian since his move from Torino in 2017, and he has failed to even make the bench in either of Chelsea's Premier League matches this season. Davide Zappacosta arrives in Rome. he was eager to leave the club on loan, and Roma have confirmed on Twitter that he has now arrived at the club for a medical. There has been no confirmation of whether the deal will include an option for Roma to sign Zappacosta permanently next summer, with several reports coming up with conflicting information. Goal's Nizaar Kinsella states that the Serie A side wanted an option to buy after declining to meet Chelsea 's £23m asking price this summer, and the Blues are said to have accepted their demands in the hope of getting Zappacosta off their books at the end of the season. However, La Gazzetta dello Sport believe that the deal will be a 'dry loan', meaning Roma will not have an option to buy. Basically, it looks like nobody really knows. Many Chelsea fans won't be too disappointed to see the back of Zappacosta, given the Italian has failed to make an impact at Stamford Bridge. Club captain Cesar Azpilicueta has retained his place in the lineup, despite his recent struggles. Young right-back Reece James is also nearing his return to first- team action after picking up an ankle injury this summer, and Zappacosta's imminent departure appears to confirm Frank Lampard's faith in the 19-year-old going forward.
