Former Arsenal manager Unai Emery has held talks with Everton over replacing Marco Silva

Unai Emery may only have been sacked by Arsenal two
weeks ago, but he could be set for a very quick return to the
Premier League with Everton .
The Spaniard was dismissed by the Gunners on 29
November after a really poor run of results and
performances, with a 2-1 defeat by Frankfurt in the Europa
League proving the final straw.
The 48-year-old’s spell at the Emirates will go down as a
failure, but does not appear to have put off Everton who have
been swift to get in contact with Emery.
The Toffees sacked Marco Silva on 5 December having found
themselves in the Premier League relegation zone, leaving
Duncan Ferguson in interim charge.
The Merseyside club are already making moves, though, and
the Athletic report that talks have taken place between
Emery and Everton’s majority investor Farhad Moshiri and
chairman Bill Kenwright.
