Manchester United chiefs send message to Paul Pogba over January transfer
Manchester United chiefs have told Paul Pogba he is going
nowhere in January and all offers for him will be rejected.
The midfielder has only made six appearances this season
due to an ankle injury, with his latest attempted return
delayed due to illness.
Just hours after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer delivered the update
on his health, Pogba posted a video of him dancing at his
brother Florentin’s wedding in Bussy-Saint-Georges on Friday
and while the club gave him permission to travel, his
commitment has been questioned in some quarters. As a result speculation over his future has grown in the past
few weeks, with some suggesting he could push for an Old
Trafford exit as early as January.
But the club have made it clear he is going nowhere,
according to the Daily Mail.
Pogba only has 18 months left on his current deal and while
United have the option to extend it by a year, he has made it
clear he will not sign a new one.He is keen to move to Spanish giants Barcelona or Real
Madrid but United’s stance is that he will not be sold.
They are pressing ahead, however, with plans to sign two
new central midfielders by the start of next season.
After beating Colchester United 3-0 in the Carabao Cup on
Wednesday night, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will turn their
attention to a trip to relegation-threatened Watford this
weekend.
