Zinedine Zidane 'desperate' for Man United star, Simeone linked with Premier League pair - Liverpool rivals' round-up

Good morning America, and welcome to the Liverpool.com daily
round-up of the latest news and rumours from the Reds’ European
rivals.
What a night it was for Liverpool last night. Despite JĂĽrgen Klopp
opting to shuffle his pack with his team selection, the Reds ran out
emphatic winners against local-rivals Everton, with Divock Origi once
again proving he is the man for the big occasion.
The game was the first of a hectic festive schedule for JĂĽrgen
Klopp’s side, who will compete in the Premier League, Champions
League, Carabao Cup and the Club World Cup in the month of
December.
It's therefore clear that there is plenty to think about and that is also
the case across Europe, so let’s take a look at some of the latest
headlines from across the continent and see how they could affect
Liverpool.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane and the club’s hierarchy are at
odds over the signing of Paul Pogba from Manchester United in
January.

Zidane is believed, according to a report from ESPN , to be
"desperate" to sign the midfielder but president Florentino Perez
believes the World Cup winner is overpriced and unwilling to meet
United’s valuation.

Pogba has long been linked with a move to the Spanish capital, with
Zidane seeing the midfielder as the perfect option to help booster his
side’s chances of claiming domestic and European success.

Liverpoo.com says: Does a day ever go by without Pogba being linked
with a big move abroad? It's got to happen at some point in the near
future, you'd think, and Real Madrid would surely be among the top
contenders. It seems as though Manchester United can no longer
really be bothered with him, and vice versa.
